Firefox Home has been abandoned for a good year now. I last worked on
it at the end of 2010 when I was contracted by Mozilla to do bug fixes
and implement the new setup code. Since then nothing much has happened.

This is unfortunate because Firefox Home is actually a very useful
little app. It just deperately needs an update. No, it needs a
make-over.

So today I am announcing that I am going to work on that. Starting
today, I will pick up the project and put some new live in it.

I’ll start this on my own time but on the way hope to inspire my
wonderful colleagues to help. The plan is to make it more awesome and
get it back on our product roadmap.

The project is at github.com/st3fan/FirefoxHomeDeux. Mostly empty now, but that will change rapidly the coming weeks.
